“From the Darkness to the Light” is the experience in many lives transformed by God’s intervention, causing them to begin “Changing Tracks.” Although they come from different backgrounds and their conversions have taken place among differing circumstances, they all give thanks to Jesus Christ for having come to find them. They thank Him for having given meaning to their lives, for curing their deep wounds, for giving them happiness and for filling them with love. Come on board this train and let yourself be guided by their stories so that you can also begin “Changing Tracks.”

Changing Tracks: Emily Syverson

Emily Syverson was born in a Catholic family in Minnesota, USA. She always had the desire to be good and to do good. When she went to college, she joined a Protestant Bible group. All the arguments that she had against the Catholic faith filled her with doubts and confusion, but the providential encounter with committed Catholics helped strengthen her faith.

Changing Tracks: Sr. Jennifer Meewon Chey, Missionary Sisters of the Resurrection

Jennifer Meewon Chey seemed to be perfect in everything, but in order to achieve the goals she had set for herself in the world of sports, she started to suffer from eating disorders. When she was rejected from the basketball team at her university, her world collapsed. Jennifer's youth seemed to be cut short by a dead-end depression due to her meaningless life. Longing for a way out, she went to Medjugorje to ask God for help. There she found her place: in the Cenáculo Community.

Changing Tracks: Joseph Caraway

Joseph Caraway tells us how God made him change his own “perfect" plans for true happiness. What makes an athletic guy with a good girlfriend and a good college scholarship completely change his plans for the future? God speaks to man's heart to tell him what He wants from him. Find out here in "Changing Tracks."

Changing Tracks: Lauren Scotto

Lauren Scotto drifted away from God when she began an unhealthy relationship with her boyfriend who had managed to manipulate and blind her completely. Trusting her mother, she broke up with him and recovered her friendship with God. In prayer she understood that she should not kiss another boy until marriage so as not to fall into the same trap. Shortly afterwards she met Nick, a decent guy. Will she keep her promise? Find out in "Changing Tracks.”

Changing Tracks: Alex Kowalkowski

“Lord, bless my future plans: good studies, a good job, a wife and wonderful children… “ These were the plans that Alex Kowalkowski had for his life. Here he tells us how he discovered that he was living in a society full of lies that imposed on him how he had to be. He went from dreaming of “his plans” to accepting God’s plans. He is currently a seminarian in Rome.

Changing Tracks: Fr. Luuk Jansen, O.P.

Fr. Luuk Jansen was born in the Netherlands, where he never received a religious education nor met a single Catholic. As a graduate in chemical engineering, he moved to Ireland to work on a project. The conversations that he had with another engineer made him question the existence of God, which eventually led to his entry in the Catholic Church and later on to discover his call to the religious life.
